Hey all! I'm heading on a long flight then a hiking trip in the mountains. I want to bring my OLLY Extra Strength Energy Gummies for a boost, but I'm worried they'll melt in my carry-on (I've heard gummies can get soft) and also, what about TSA rules? Any tips for carrying these? Thanks!

I've taken these on many flights. They don't really melt like chocolate, but they can get a little sticky if it's hot. Keep them in their original bottle or a sealed plastic bag. TSA doesn't care about gummies as long as they're not liquids. I always put them in my personal item, not checked, because I've had a bag lost. Safe travels!

For hiking, I'd suggest using a small pill case or a zip-lock bag with a silica packet (the kind you get in vitamin bottles) to absorb moisture. But if you're worried about crushing them, leave them in the original bottle. They are flexible, not like hard candy. On my last trip, they didn't melt but got a bit squishy in my pocket. So maybe avoid direct body heat. Also, meditation? Just remember to take them with food to avoid any stomach upset!

As a grandpa who's traveled a lot, my advice is to keep them in your carry-on and in a cooler if you're going to be in extreme heat (like a hot car). I've seen gummies turn into a blob in a hot car, but in your carry-on in the cabin, it's fine. Also, TSA might ask about them if they look like a suspicious substance, but just have the original label ready. They're fine. Just remember to stay hydrated when you take them!
