Hey all, I'm thinking of getting a health-related gift for my dad (65) and my gym-obsessed friend. The OLLY Extra Strength Sleep Gummies with 5mg melatonin caught my eye. Anyone tried these? Would they be good for either of them? My dad has trouble sleeping, and my friend is all about recovery. Any thoughts?

Dude, 5mg melatonin is a solid dose for older folks, but I'd check with his doc first. The L-theanine and chamomile are nice, but the blackberry flavor might be a win. For your gym buddy, melatonin can help with post-workout sleep, but he might already take something stronger. I'd go with the gummies for your dad—easy to chew, no pills. Just make sure he doesn't have any interactions.

I've used these while traveling for work. They taste good, but the effects can vary. For your dad, they're great if he's not already on sleep meds. For your gym friend, I'd actually recommend magnesium gummies instead—better for muscle recovery and sleep. But if you want to stick to OLLY, these aren't bad. Just remember they're a sleep aid, not a recovery supplement.

Coffee addict here, lol. I've tried these as a last resort when I'm wired from caffeine. They work, but they might make you groggy if you don't get a full 8 hours. For your dad, that's probably fine, but for your friend who trains early, maybe not ideal. Also, check if they have any allergies—blackberry flavor is pretty strong. Overall, it's a decent gift, but maybe pair it with a bottle of magnesium glycinate for the friend.
