OLLY Kids Gummies - Are we just feeding our kids candy disguised as vitamins?

OP here. Just picked up these OLLY Kids Multivitamin gummies for my 6-year-old. Ingredients list shows 3g of sugar per serving (2 gummies). That's basically candy with some vitamins sprinkled in. We're teaching kids that supplements should taste like dessert. Thoughts? Convenience shouldn't mean compromising on purity. #biohacking

Steve, I get your point but c'mon - if it gets kids to actually TAKE their vitamins, isn't that a win? My niece refuses pills but devours these. As a CrossFitter, I prioritize adherence over perfection. Sometimes you need the 'gateway' format. That said, yeah, sugar content isn't ideal. Maybe mix with a probiotic powder instead?

Marathon runner perspective: whole foods > supplements whenever possible. But for kids with picky diets, gummies can fill gaps. The sugar is concerning though - 3g adds up. Could you find a sugar-free alternative or teach the kiddo to swallow capsules? Long-term health means avoiding the candy-fication of nutrition, even if it's harder short-term.

Quinn - 'gateway' supplements worry me. Creates bad habits. Victor - agree on whole foods. My issue is marketing: berry flavor, chewable, fun shapes. It's pharma cosplaying as candy. Probiotics are great, but why not in a clean powder? Parents are being sold convenience over substance. #nootropics

Not everyone has time to fight with kids over pills daily, Steve. Real world > ideal world. Maybe compromise: use gummies temporarily while training them on capsules? Or blend into a smoothie? Btw, the zinc in these is decent for immune support - that's a plus. WOD tomorrow!
