So I tried making my own multivitamin gummies using gelatin and a powder from a capsule vitamin. They turned out like rubbery blobs that taste like metal. Anyone have a good recipe? I'm keto so need low sugar, maybe stevia? Also what about using agar instead of gelatin?

Ooh I love DIY gummies! I've made them with vitamin C powder and gelatin before. Key is to bloom gelatin in cold water first, then heat gently. I use a silicone mold. For flavor, try adding a bit of fruit juice concentrate. Agar is trickier - it needs to boil and sets firmer. Good luck!

Why not just buy OLLY? They taste great and are cheap per serving. Homemade ones probably lose potency from heat. And gelatin is not vegan btw. Just saying.

I want control over ingredients - less sugar, no artificial stuff. Gelatin is fine for me. But I wonder if the vitamin powders degrade when heated? Maybe I should add them after cooling? Also any tips to mask the vitamin taste?

Adding vitamins after cooling is smart! I usually mix powder into a small amount of liquid and stir into the warm (not hot) gelatin. For taste, try a drop of lemon essential oil or use freeze-dried fruit powder. Let me know how it turns out!
