Hey everyone! I tried making my own gummy supplements at home cuz OLLY is expensive. I used gelatin, some peach juice, and crushed up a probiotic capsule. The mixture smelled weird and didn't set right. Any tips? What am I doing wrong?

Oh man, probiotic powders are tricky. Heat kills the bacteria, so you gotta add them after the mixture cools a bit. Also, 500 million CFUs is a lot for home gummies - they might die off. Try using a lower heat and maybe add some prebiotic fiber like inulin? Keep us posted!

Also check your gelatin ratio. For probiotic gummies, I use agar instead of gelatin to avoid heat issues. Agar sets at a lower temp. And ditch the juice - sugar feeds bad bacteria. Use stevia or monk fruit. If it smells weird, the probiotics might have gone bad or you got a bad batch.

Ooh, I love this DIY idea! 🌱 Maybe try a recipe from @VeggieVictor with inulin and agar. But honestly, OLLY has a special coating to protect the probiotics. Home gummies might not deliver the same benefits. But good luck! If you fail, just eat them as sludge - still healthy haha!

Thanks everyone! I'll try agar and add the probiotic powder after cooling. And maybe use some inulin. Fingers crossed! If not, sludge it is lol.
