THREAD: Just tried these new sleep gummies - anyone else have experience with them?Started by PurePete49

Hey all, Crossfit junkie here. I've been struggling with post-workout insomnia for months - my body just won't shut down after evening sessions. Picked up these OLLY gummies at the store yesterday. Took one last night about 30 minutes before bed. The blackberry flavor is decent, not too sweet. Woke up feeling pretty refreshed this morning, but I'm skeptical about the 3mg melatonin - isn't that kind of low? Also wondering if the L-Theanine actually does anything for recovery. Anyone with an active lifestyle tried these long-term?

As someone who drinks way too much coffee (I'm up to 4 cups daily), I've been desperate for something to counteract the caffeine jitters at night. I've been using these gummies for about two weeks now. The chamomile and lemon balm extracts seem to help with the anxiety part, but I'm not sure about the melatonin dose either. Sometimes I still find myself staring at the ceiling. Has anyone tried taking two instead of one? Or maybe combining them with something else? The taste is nice though - doesn't leave that weird herbal aftertaste like some sleep aids.

Okay, I'm here for the flavor review first and foremost! The blackberry taste is actually really authentic - not that artificial candy flavor you get with some gummies. Texture is perfect too, not too chewy, not too soft. As for sleep effects... I've been taking them for a week. I fall asleep faster for sure, but I've been having some pretty vivid dreams. Not necessarily bad, just noticeable. Anyone else experiencing this? Also, at $20 for a 30-day supply, I think they're reasonably priced compared to other sleep aids I've tried.

Holistic practitioner here. The ingredient combination is actually quite thoughtful - melatonin for sleep regulation, L-Theanine for relaxation without drowsiness, chamomile and lemon balm for their calming properties. The 3mg melatonin is actually a good starting dose - many people overdo it with melatonin and disrupt their natural production. I'd recommend taking them consistently for at least 2-3 weeks to really assess effectiveness. Make sure you're also practicing good sleep hygiene - no screens an hour before bed, cool dark room, etc. These are supplements, not magic pills. That said, I've had several clients report positive results with this particular formulation.

Thanks for the input everyone. GummyGuru123 - appreciate the holistic perspective. I'll stick with the recommended dose for now and see how it goes with my training schedule. MindfulMila48 - maybe try cutting off caffeine earlier in the day? I know that's easier said than done though. BerryBen - I haven't noticed any weird dreams, but I'll pay attention tonight. Going to give these a full 30-day trial and report back. If they help with recovery sleep, they might be worth adding to my supplement stack.
