THREAD: Mixing OLLY Sleep Gummies with other stuff - safe or risky?Started by OP

Hey all, just got the OLLY Sleep Gummies (the blackberry ones with melatonin, L-theanine, etc.) and I'm wondering if it's okay to take them with my morning coffee? I work nights sometimes and need to sleep during the day, but I also need that caffeine boost before my shift. Anyone tried this combo? Is it safe or will it cancel each other out?

As a yoga instructor, I'd advise against mixing stimulants like coffee with sleep aids. The OLLY gummies are designed to calm your nervous system with chamomile and lemon balm, while caffeine does the opposite. You might end up feeling jittery and still unable to sleep. Try herbal tea instead of coffee if you need a gentle pick-me-up. Listen to your body's natural rhythms! 🧘‍♂️

Ugh, I feel you OP. As a busy professional, I've totally been there. I sometimes take the OLLY gummies after a late work night, but I make sure to have my last coffee at least 4-5 hours before. Once I took one too close to an energy drink and it was a weird mix of tired but wired—not fun. Maybe try timing it better? Or switch to decaf if you really need the ritual.

Skeptical mom here. I wouldn't risk it, especially with melatonin involved. My kid's pediatrician warned about mixing supplements willy-nilly. Coffee can mess with absorption and side effects. Have you checked with a doctor? Also, 3mg melatonin might be too much for some—my sister felt groggy next day. Maybe start with half a gummy and skip the coffee altogether. Better safe than sorry!
