THREAD: Just tried these new sleep gummies - anyone else have experience?Started by IvyIron36

Hey everyone! I'm always looking for natural ways to help my kids (and myself) wind down at night. I just picked up a bottle of these OLLY Sleep Gummies at the store - the ingredients list looks great with melatonin, L-theanine, and all those herbal extracts. Has anyone else tried these? I'm curious if they're gentle enough for occasional use with my 12-year-old who sometimes has trouble falling asleep before big school days.

I'm skeptical about sleep supplements in general. Melatonin can really mess with your natural sleep cycles if you're not careful. Plus, 3mg is a pretty standard dose, but I've read that lower doses (like 0.5-1mg) are actually more effective for most people. Are these just another overpriced gummy with fancy marketing? I'd rather stick to my magnesium glycinate and good sleep hygiene.

OMG I LOVE these! I've been taking them for about 2 months now and they've been a game-changer. The combination of melatonin with L-theanine and chamomile is perfect - it's not just about falling asleep, but staying asleep through the night. The blackberry flavor is actually delicious too! I take one about 30 minutes before bed and I'm out like a light. Definitely worth trying if you struggle with sleep!

Thanks for the feedback! @FitnessFanatic25 - I hear you on being cautious with supplements. I always check with our pediatrician before giving anything to the kids. @GummyGuru123 - glad to hear they work well for you! Do you find you build up a tolerance? And how's the next-day grogginess? That's my biggest concern with sleep aids.

@IvyIron36 No next-day grogginess at all for me! That's why I love the L-theanine in there - it helps with relaxation without making you feel drugged. As for tolerance, I haven't noticed any issues, but I only use them 3-4 nights a week max. I rotate with other methods like meditation and magnesium baths. For your 12-year-old, I'd definitely start with half a gummy to see how they react!
