Hey everyone, I tried making my own gummy vitamins at home after seeing the OLLY Undeniable Beauty ones in stores. Wanted to save some $$ and control ingredients. Used gelatin, some biotin & vitamin C powder, and grapefruit flavoring. But they came out super rubbery and wouldn't set right - just a sticky mess! Anyone have a good recipe or tips for getting the texture right? How much powder can you add before it ruins the gummies?

lol why bother? Those OLLY gummies are probably overpriced sugar anyway. Home recipes never match commercial processing. You're likely wasting money on powders that might not even be bioavailable in gummy form. Just eat real food - salmon for biotin, oranges for C. But if you insist, try agar instead of gelatin, it sets firmer. And measure powders by weight, not volume.

I keep it simple! I just take a regular vitamin C tablet and eat a piece of fruit. All these fancy gummies seem unnecessary. But if you're set on making them, maybe your liquid ratio was off? Too much powder can definitely make them rubbery. Start with very small amounts of supplements - like 1/4 of what you'd take in pill form per gummy.

I'm new to supplements but trying to be mindful about what I put in my body. Maybe the intention matters? I meditate on health before taking my vitamins. For your recipe, have you tried adding a bit of honey instead of just sugar? Might help with texture. Also, are you letting them cool slowly? Rushing might cause issues.

The colors in those store-bought gummies are so vibrant - like tropical flowers! For homemade, I'd use natural colorants from beets or turmeric. Texture-wise, I've made agar gummies for kids before. The key is blooming the agar properly in hot liquid BEFORE adding powders. And don't over-stir once the powders are in! Maybe take photos of your process? Could help troubleshoot.
