THREAD: Anyone tried OLLY's beauty gummies? Worth the hype for hair/skin/nails?Started by FuelFrank

Hey all, my girlfriend just picked up a bottle of these OLLY gummies from Target. She's been raving about them for weeks - says they taste amazing (grapefruit flavor) and her nails look stronger. I'm skeptical though... I mean, chewable supplements? Sounds like candy with vitamins. Has anyone else tried these? Do they actually work or is this just another wellness fad?

Frank, I've been using these for about 45 days now! Not for beauty purposes though - I take them post-workout for the biotin and keratin. The vitamin C is great for recovery too. I will say my hair does feel thicker and my skin has cleared up a bit. The grapefruit flavor is legit - way better than swallowing pills. Only downside is they're a bit pricey for what you get. 60 count lasts a month if you take 2/day.

Hold up - checking the nutrition facts on these. 2 gummies have 2g of sugar! That's not keto-friendly at all. I'm all for supplements but not when they're loaded with unnecessary sweeteners. Also, traveling with gummies? They'd melt in my backpack in Southeast Asia. Stick to capsule forms if you're serious about supplementation. Just my two cents as someone who's tried every biohack out there.

Kevin makes a good point about the sugar content - my girlfriend didn't mention that. Noah, interesting you're using them for recovery! Do you take them with other supplements? And has anyone noticed real changes in nail strength? My girlfriend says hers don't break as easily but I'm wondering if it's placebo effect.

Frank - I stack them with my usual protein shake and creatine. Nail strength definitely improved around week 3. Not placebo - I actually measured my nail growth (yes, I track everything lol). Grew 2mm faster than baseline. Kevin, you're right about the sugar, but for non-keto folks it's not terrible. The convenience factor is huge for people who hate pills. Pro tip: buy on subscription from Amazon for 15% off.

2mm nail growth is actually impressive data, Noah. Maybe I'll try the capsule version if they make one. For those wanting similar benefits without sugar, look for biotin + keratin in powder form. Mix it with collagen in your coffee. More bioavailable anyway. But hey, if the gummies get people actually taking their supplements consistently, that's a win. Just wish companies would make sugar-free versions for us keto/diabetic folks.
