Help! My husband thinks these are candy!

OMG, my husband just grabbed a handful of these thinking they were gummy bears. I came into the kitchen and he was chewing them like candy. He's 35! I had to stop him before he ate half the bottle. He said they looked 'too delicious' to be vitamins. I guess that's a testament to the berry flavor, but seriously? Does anyone else have this problem? Also, just a heads up, these contain gelatin, so they're not vegan-friendly for those of you who might be considering them for your family.

Ha! That's hilarious and a little scary. I actually had the opposite problem with my 6-year-old. He REFUSES to eat these because he says the texture is 'too chewy' and they get stuck in his teeth. I end up having to crush them and mix them into his smoothie. But for real, I keep them in a high cabinet now because even though they're vitamins, kids see 'gummy' and think candy. Maybe try storing them in a different container? I've also heard of people putting them in a 'not candy' jar. Good luck! And thanks for the vegan tip, MangoMia!

I work nights and I'm always grabbing snacks in the dark. I nearly ate a handful of my wife's vitamins too cause I thought they were fruit snacks. The struggle is real! Pro tip: I labeled the bottle with a giant 'VITAMINS NOT CANDY' sticker and put it at the back of the fridge. Now I rarely grab them by accident. But honestly, the taste is so good, it's a trap!

LOL, AlphaAdam, that's a good idea. I'll try the sticker approach. And YogaYara, mixing them in a smoothie is a great hack for picky kids. Although, if you're looking for a vegan alternative that's less likely to be mistaken for candy, you might want to check out the gummy vitamins from 'Nature's Way' – they use pectin instead of gelatin and they have a more 'vitamin-y' taste. Just saying!
