Mixing OLLY Women's Multivitamin Gummies with Coffee - Safe?
Hey everyone! I just started taking the OLLY Women's Daily Multivitamin Gummies, and I typically have a cup of coffee in the morning. I'm wondering if it's okay to take them together or if I should wait a bit. I've heard that caffeine might interfere with vitamin absorption? Any thoughts?
I'm not a doctor, but I think you're fine. I take my gummies with orange juice and coffee all the time. Vitamins are usually better absorbed with food anyway. Just don't take them with hot coffee right after each other, maybe wait like 30 minutes? But honestly, it shouldn't be a big deal.
As a marathon runner, I've done a ton of research on supplements. Caffeine can actually enhance the absorption of some B vitamins, but it might reduce others like calcium. If you're just having one cup, I wouldn't stress. Just avoid taking them with dairy products because calcium can block iron absorption, but the gummies don't have iron I think. Check the label.
I remember back in the day when vitamins were these huge horse pills, and we'd choke them down with whatever drink we had! Now they're gummies... progress! Anyway, I've been taking these for a while and I usually have my coffee first, then eat a gummy. Never had an issue. But I do recall reading that vitamin C might be destroyed by heat, so maybe don't take it with boiling hot coffee? Just let it cool a bit. Ha!
