My kid thought these were gummy vitamins and now won't touch them

So I bought these SmartSweets Peach Rings as a low sugar treat for myself, but my 6-year-old saw the bag and thought they were his gummy vitamins. He popped one in his mouth and immediately spat it out, screaming 'these are spicy!' 🤦‍♀️ Now every time I try to give him his actual vitamins, he thinks I'm tricking him. Anyone else have this issue? How do I get him to trust vitamins again?

LOL, kids are too smart sometimes. My husband once grabbed my gummy vitamins thinking they were candy and ate a handful. He said they tasted like 'sugar-free regret'. 😂 But seriously, maybe keep the SmartSweets in a different spot? Or let your kid pick out his own vitamins with a fun shape? My nephew loves the dinosaur ones.

I feel you! I once accidentally bought these thinking they were regular peach rings. Took one bite and was like... where's the sugar? But the texture is definitely different from standard gummy vitamins. Maybe try explaining that these are 'grown-up candy' and his vitamins are 'kid fuel'? Works with my daughter.

As a wellness influencer, I actually love these for keto snacking. But yeah, the texture can throw people off. It's the isomalto-oligosaccharides – they create a different mouthfeel. For the kid issue, I'd suggest a 'taste test' challenge where you both try his vitamins and then the SmartSweets. Frame it as a game. And maybe hide them better 😉
