Just saw a study (PMID: 34567891) claiming that one of the ingredients in SmartSweets Peach Rings, maybe the soluble corn fiber, actually messes with gut health. Tbh I love these for low sugar but now I'm paranoid. Anyone read it? Think it's legit or just fear-mongering?

I read that study! It's from a decent journal but sample size was small (n=30). They used high doses too. I wouldn't panic but def keep an eye on your gut. These are still way better than regular candy imo.

Honestly, I've been saying this for a while. All those sugar alcohols and fibers can disrupt your microbiome if you overdo it. But for occasional treat? Fine. I stick to my turmeric gummies for healing 😉

Bro if you're worried just eat fruit. Real peaches have fiber and no weird stuff. But I get it, these are convenient post-workout. I'll check the study out.
