Hey everyone! So I tried making my own turmeric ginger gummies at home using gelatin and some high-quality curcumin powder I bought. I wanted to replicate that 'Natural Extra Strength Joint Support' gummy but homemade. Mixed gelatin with peach juice, honey, and the powder, but they came out super bitter and didn't set right - kinda gooey. Anyone have a tried-and-true recipe or tips? I'm thinking maybe I added the powder wrong?

lol been there. When I tried making my own sleep aid gummies (melatonin + magnesium), the bitterness was unreal. For turmeric, I found that adding the powder at the END of heating helps - high heat might break it down? Also, maybe use agar instead of gelatin if you're vegan or want firmer set. But tbh after my 3rd failed batch, I just bought that peach flavor one you mentioned - perfect for my night shift, no mess.

If you're keto, ditch the honey! That's probably part of your setting issue - too much liquid sugar. Use erythritol or monk fruit, and make sure your gelatin bloom ratio is right. Also, turmeric is fat-soluble - are you adding any MCT oil or something for absorption? That's why those 'ultra high absorption' commercial ones work. Just saying.

Simpler is better. I mix turmeric powder with a bit of black pepper (piperine for absorption) into store-bought sugar-free gummies. Melt gently, stir, reset. Takes 10 mins. Joints feel fine. Why make it complicated?
