Traveling with Turmeric Gummies - melt risk? TSA?
Hey all, I'm heading out on a week-long trip that involves a plane, some road trips, and hiking. I don't want to miss my turmeric gummies, but I'm worried about them melting in my bag or getting through security. Anyone have experience flying with these? Also, do they melt easily in heat? I'll be in warm areas.
I've flown with gummy vitamins before, no issues. Just keep them in the original bottle or a clear bag. TSA doesn't care about 'gummies' as long as they're not liquids/gels. They might ask to inspect, but it's no biggie. As for melting, I've had gummies soften in hot car, but they don't turn to goo. If it's super hot, maybe keep them in a cooler or insulated bag. I love the peach flavor, by the way!
I've taken these on backpacking trips in 90°F weather. They get a bit soft but survive. I wouldn't worry about melting into a mess. For TSA, I've never had a problem, but I've read that gummies are considered 'solid' so you're fine. Just don't bring a giant jar; use a smaller container if you need to. Also, these gummies are non-GMO and gluten-free, so they're a solid choice for travel.
Thanks for the tips! I'll keep them in a zip bag in my carry-on. I'm also thinking about hiking with them - any issue with them sticking together? I might just pack a few in a small pill case for the trails.
