THREAD: My toddler thinks my Ashwagandha gummies are candy! Help!Started by VitalVince

Okay, so I'm the OP here. My 4-year-old found my bottle of ashwagandha gummies in my purse yesterday and thought they were 'mommy's special candy.' He ate THREE before I caught him! He's fine, thank goodness, but now he keeps asking for more 'calm candy.' Has this happened to anyone else? How do you store yours to keep little hands away?

Oh Vince, I feel you! My 7-year-old REFUSES to eat them because she says they're 'too squishy and taste like dirt flowers.' I tried explaining adaptogens, but she just made a face. I've started keeping mine in a locked supplement box after my husband almost took them thinking they were my homemade elderberry gummies (different jar, clearly labeled, but men, amirite?). Maybe try a high cabinet?

Bro, my gym buddy's wife did this with his pre-workout gummies last month - she thought they were dessert! Caffeine overload city. For kids, maybe get a pill organizer with a lock? Or switch to capsules? I take ashwagandha for post-WOD recovery, but I keep it with my protein powder on the top shelf. Kids + supplements = no bueno.

New to meditation and ashwagandha here... my wife keeps hiding my gummies because she says the texture 'grosses her out' (they're a bit chalky, tbh). Now I can't find them when I need my chill time! Maybe we all need better labeling? Vince, glad your kiddo is okay - maybe use it as a teachable moment about 'grown-up vitamins'?

Thanks everyone! Lockbox it is. Bob, my husband says the same thing about texture - he won't touch them. Olivia, 'dirt flowers' is hilarious and kinda accurate. Noah, capsules might be the way to go for safety. Appreciate the support - this parenting + wellness juggle is real!
