THREAD: Are gummy vitamins just candy in disguise? B12 debate!Started by HealthHacker

Hey everyone, I just looked at the nutrition label on my kid's B12 gummies and was shocked - 4g of sugar per serving! That's like giving them candy for breakfast. Are we really helping our health or just feeding into the 'candy-fication' of everything? I'm starting to think traditional pills might be better despite the taste...

HealthHacker, you're right to question this! As a biohacker, I've analyzed dozens of formulas. Many gummies use cheap fillers and excessive sugars that can spike insulin, counteracting B12's benefits. I switched to sublingual drops - pure methylcobalamin, no additives. The convenience argument is marketing hype; purity should come first for optimal cellular function.

Whoa, hold up! As someone who actually enjoys food, I think you're missing the point. I used to forget my B12 pills constantly because they tasted like chalk. Now with my berry-flavored gummies, I take them daily without fail. 4g sugar is less than a teaspoon - worth it for consistency! Sometimes practicality beats perfection ๐

Interesting discussion! From my yoga/wellness perspective, it's about mindful consumption. I found organic gummies with only 1g coconut sugar that work for me. The key is reading labels carefully - some brands use clean ingredients. Maybe there's a middle path? What brands have you all tried that balance taste and purity?

Thanks for the perspectives everyone! Claire, I appreciate the middle-ground approach. Maybe I'll look for lower-sugar options instead of abandoning gummies completely. Steve, those drops sound intense but effective. Ben, you're right about consistency being important for my kids... This gives me more to research!
