THREAD: Weird B12 side effect? Anyone else?Started by OP

Hey everyone, been taking a gummy B12 supplement for about 2 weeks now (the berry flavor ones from the health store). I've noticed my pee is like, SUPER bright yellow—almost neon! It's not painful or anything, just kinda startling lol. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal or should I be worried?

Oh honey, that's just your body getting rid of the excess. B12 is water-soluble—anything your body doesn't use, it flushes out. My kids' vitamins do the same thing. As long as you're not having stomach cramps or a rash, you're fine. But maybe check the dosage? Some gummies pack way more than you need daily.

Bright urine can indicate your body is detoxing and absorbing the B12 efficiently! It's a sign of vitality. I'd recommend pairing it with a whole-food diet—think leafy greens and fermented foods—to balance the synthetic boost. Also, have you tried a methylcobalamin form instead of cyanocobalamin? Much gentler on the system ✨

Totally normal! I teach yoga and take B12 gummies for energy—my pee has been glowing since day one 😂 It's just the riboflavin (B2) in there, often added to B-complex blends. As long as you're staying hydrated (drink that lemon water!), it's harmless. Maybe a fun reminder to check in with your body during your practice?

lol yeah same here with the cheap store-brand gummies I get. Bright pee but no issues otherwise. Honestly it's kinda convenient—lets me know I remembered to take them that day. As long as it's not costing extra in toilet water, I'm rolling with it 😅
