THREAD: Are 'Beauty Gummies' just candy in disguise? Sugar content rant!Started by OasisOliver

Hey everyone, just tried some collagen gummies for skin health and omg the sugar! Tastes like straight-up candy. Are we really fooling ourselves with these 'supplements'? I workout hard on weekends but this feels like cheating my diet. Anyone else bothered by the candy-fication of vitamins?

As a mom, I'm totally with you Oliver. I bought some biotin gummies for my teen daughter but the ingredient list scared me - sugar, corn syrup, artificial colors. It's like giving kids candy and calling it health. Convenience is nice but at what cost? I've switched back to traditional pills for my family.

Night shift worker here - I get the convenience argument. When you're working 12-hour nights, choking down dry pills is the last thing you want. The gummies at least make me remember to take them. But yeah, the sugar is concerning. Anyone found low-sugar options that actually work?

Granola parent checking in! This is why I make my own supplements. The 'beauty gummies' market is capitalizing on our desire for quick fixes. Real beauty comes from whole foods, not sugar-laden supplements. If you need collagen, try bone broth. If you need vitamins, eat your veggies! #backtobasics

Thanks for the input everyone! Vince - you're right about checking labels, I didn't even look at the back. Pete - I feel you on convenience, maybe there's a middle ground? Yara - love the DIY spirit but honestly who has time for bone broth every day? Maybe I'll try switching to powder forms instead...
