THREAD: Started gummy capsules for sleep, but now my skin is glowing? Anyone else?Started by NatureNancy46

Hey everyone! So I've been traveling through Southeast Asia for the past 6 months (digital nomad life!) and my sleep schedule has been a total mess with all the time zone changes. I picked up some melatonin gummy capsules at a health store in Thailand to help me sleep better. Been taking them for about 3 weeks now, and while my sleep IS better, the weirdest thing happened - my skin has completely cleared up! I used to have occasional breakouts from all the humidity and stress, but now it's like I have this natural glow. Has anyone else experienced unexpected benefits from their gummy supplements?

Nancy that's wild! I'm a Crossfit junkie and take pre-workout gummy capsules for energy before my 5am sessions. I haven't noticed skin changes, but I did start taking them for focus and ended up with way less post-workout soreness. Maybe your capsules have collagen or biotin in them? Check the ingredients! Some of these gummies have hidden bonuses. I'm all about optimizing every aspect of performance - physical AND skin game lol.

As a skeptical mom of three, I have to ask - are you sure it's the gummies? Could it be the Thai food, less stress from traveling, or different water? I tried vitamin C gummy capsules last winter to boost immunity during flu season (my kids bring home EVERYTHING from school), and I did notice my nails got stronger. But I'm always suspicious of correlation vs causation. What brand are you using? I want to check the label before I get excited for my teenage daughter who struggles with acne.

Marathon runner here - similar experience! I started taking electrolyte gummy capsules during my training for hydration, but my recovery time improved dramatically. Less muscle fatigue after those 20-mile runs. For skin though, I did notice that when I switched to a vitamin D gummy during winter training, my seasonal mood dips disappeared. The body is weirdly interconnected. Maybe your sleep improvement reduced cortisol levels, which helped your skin? Either way, glad you found a double benefit!
