THREAD: My toddler thinks my gummy vitamins are candy - hilarious disaster!Started by VibeVitamins42

Okay so I'm running on 3 hours of sleep and my 4-year-old just pulled a fast one on me. I keep my gummy multivitamins in a jar on the counter (bad idea, I know). This morning I found him with the jar open, munching away like they're fruit snacks. He ate like 5 before I noticed! He's fine, pediatrician said just watch him, but now he keeps asking for 'rainbow candy' and refuses his actual vitamins because they're 'not as good.' Anyone else deal with this? My husband thinks it's hilarious but I'm low-key panicking about creating a tiny supplement thief.

VibeVitamins42 - First, glad the kiddo's okay! This is why I'm big on biohacking your supplement storage. I use timed lockboxes for mine - keeps them secure and ensures I take them at optimal circadian times. For your situation, have you considered switching to capsules? No candy confusion, and you can get ones with delayed release for better absorption. I've been experimenting with a custom blend from a compounding pharmacy - way more control over ingredients. Kids are natural experimenters, gotta channel that energy safely!

This is exactly why I keep it simple. One multivitamin capsule in the morning, done. No flavors, no colors, no confusion. My wife used to get those gummy vitamins for our kids and they'd fight over who got the 'red ones.' Switched to plain capsules they swallow with water - problem solved. Less stuff, less problems. Your story's funny though - reminds me when my dog got into my protein powder. Not a fun cleanup.

Bro I feel you! My gym buddy's kid did this with his pre-workout gummies once - let's just say the preschool teacher had some questions about the 'very focused' 5-year-old. 😂 For real though, maybe try making a game out of taking real vitamins? I do this with my post-WOD supplements - turn it into a ritual. Or just hide the gummies better! Gotta keep those gains (and kids) safe. You still getting to the gym with all this? Movement helps with the sleep deprivation!
