THREAD: Traveling with Collagen Gummies - Do they melt? TSA rules?Started by OP

Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip that involves flying, some road tripping, and maybe even a little hiking. I've been loving my collagen gummies for skin and joint health, but I'm worried about taking them on the go. Do they melt easily in heat? What are the TSA rules for supplements? Any storage tips to keep them fresh while traveling? Thanks!

Great question! As a fitness pro who travels for competitions, I've dealt with this a lot. Collagen gummies can definitely get sticky or melt if left in hot cars or direct sun. I recommend keeping them in your carry-on in a cool, dark place - maybe even with a small ice pack if you're going somewhere really warm. TSA is generally fine with supplements in original packaging, but I always put mine in a clear bag just in case. Pro tip: store them upright to prevent squishing!

Ah, this takes me back to my blogging days when I'd road trip with all sorts of supplements! I remember once leaving my gummies in the glove compartment during a summer hike - came back to a sticky, fused-together mess. Not fun. For air travel, I've never had issues with TSA as long as they're in reasonable quantities (like a 30-day supply). Maybe throw in a silica gel packet to absorb moisture? Those little packets saved many of my supplements from humidity!

OMG I'm so excited you're keeping up with your collagen routine while traveling! That's such a healthy habit! I always bring mine everywhere - they're like my little wellness buddies. For hiking, I use a small insulated lunch bag with a freezer pack. On planes, I keep them in my personal item so they don't get too cold in the overhead bin. And YES to original packaging for TSA - it makes everything smoother. Have an AMAZING trip and keep glowing with those collagen benefits!
