THREAD: Liquid vitamins - game changer or just expensive water?Started by KetoKevin

Hey everyone, as a fitness pro I've been experimenting with liquid vitamins for about 6 months now. The absorption rate is definitely noticeable compared to pills - I feel more energized during my morning workouts and recover faster. Anyone else in the fitness world tried these? I'm curious if you've seen similar benefits or if it's just placebo effect.

As a busy professional, I'm skeptical but intrigued. I tried a liquid multivitamin last month because swallowing pills with my morning coffee was getting old. Honestly? I didn't notice any difference except my wallet was $40 lighter. Are these really worth the premium price tag? The marketing makes them sound revolutionary, but I'm not convinced yet.

I'm also a busy professional, but I've had the opposite experience! I started taking liquid vitamin D and B12 about 3 months ago because my doctor said I was deficient. The liquid form actually made a difference - my energy levels are more consistent throughout the day, and I don't get that afternoon slump as badly. Maybe it depends on which vitamins you're taking?

From a science perspective, there's actually some merit to liquid vitamins. The bioavailability can be higher because they bypass the disintegration phase that tablets require. However, the quality varies wildly between brands - some use cheap forms of vitamins that aren't well-absorbed regardless of delivery method. Has anyone looked into the specific forms used in their liquid vitamins? Magnesium citrate vs oxide, methylcobalamin vs cyanocobalamin for B12, etc.

KetoKevin38 raises a good point about quality. Maybe that's why I didn't notice anything - I just grabbed whatever was on sale at the grocery store. Are there specific brands you all recommend? I'm willing to give it another shot if there's solid evidence behind a particular product. Also, how do you deal with the taste? Mine tasted like someone mixed vitamins with cough syrup.

Great discussion! For those asking about brands - I've had good results with a company that uses methylated B vitamins (important for people with MTHFR gene variations). As for taste, I mix mine in a small amount of water and shoot it like a shot. Some brands offer flavored options that are more palatable. JoyfulJack37, which specific vitamin D form are you taking? D2 or D3? That could explain why you're seeing benefits while others aren't.
