THREAD: Found Magnesium Gummies on sale at Costco - too good to be true?Started by OP

Hey everyone, just spotted some magnesium gummies at Costco for like half the price I usually pay at my local health store. They're the Nature's Bounty brand. Has anyone tried these? Is the lower price a red flag for lower quality, or did I just score a major deal? Need to restock soon but don't want to waste money on junk.

OP, I've grabbed those before on a hike supply run! The bottle's design is pretty cheerful with fruit graphics - reminds me of wild berries I photograph. They worked fine for my leg cramps after long trail days. Not sure about lab specs, but my muscles felt relaxed. Maybe Costco just buys in bulk?

lol JoyfulJack, design won't help if they taste like chalk! I tried a cheaper brand from Target once and the texture was gummy but had this weird metallic aftertaste?? Check the ingredients list for fillers like artificial sweeteners - sometimes cheaper brands skimp on flavor quality. If the Costco ones use real fruit extracts, might be ok.

Data point: I scanned the barcode on those Costco gummies with my supplement tracker app last month. They showed similar elemental magnesium per serving as my usual brand (200mg), but the bioavailability wasn't listed clearly. Price drop could be due to overstock or simpler packaging - my smart label printer could tag them for comparison if you want metrics?

Biohacker tip: Costco often sells identical formulations to premium brands but with generic labeling. Check if the supplement facts panel matches your usual on magnesium citrate/glycinate types - that matters more than price. I'd run a quick absorption test with my home kit, but for most people, sale = steal if the active ingredients align. Avoid oxide forms though; those are cheaper and less effective.
