THREAD: NAC on sale at Costco - too good to be true?Started by OP

Hey everyone! I was at Costco yesterday and saw their Kirkland brand NAC supplements on sale for like half the price of the brand I usually get. Has anyone tried these? Is the lower price a red flag for lower quality, or is this just a total steal? I don't want to compromise on effectiveness but saving money would be awesome.

OMG YES I've been using the Kirkland NAC for months now!! It's literally the same active ingredient, N-acetylcysteine, and the dosage is standard 600mg. Costco just has insane buying power so they can sell it cheaper. I've noticed zero difference in my energy levels or antioxidant support. Total steal, go for it!!

Agree with Ursula on the basics. Check the label tho - make sure it's pure NAC without a bunch of fillers. Sometimes cheaper brands skimp on bioavailability enhancers, but Costco's usually solid. I use it for lung support during intense cardio and it works fine. Price doesn't always equal quality in supplements.

lol i wish i had time to compare labels... i grabbed some at target last week bc it was cheap and i'm desperate for anything that might help with this constant cold my kids keep passing to me. if it's from a major store like costco, it's probably fine? i'm just hoping it helps me get through the week without collapsing.

I'm wary of big-box store supplements. They might meet basic standards, but are they third-party tested for heavy metals? Sourced ethically? My family uses a small-batch brand that's transparent about their farming practices. Sometimes you pay more for peace of mind and sustainability.
