THREAD: Probiotic Gummies on sale at Costco - too good to be true or legit deal?Started by OP

Hey everyone, just saw a huge sale on probiotic gummies at Costco - like 40% off the usual price. I'm tempted to stock up, but worried the lower price means they're cutting corners on quality. Has anyone tried these? Are they still effective or should I stick to my usual brand even if it costs more?

OP, I feel you on this! As a gym rat, I'm all about optimizing gut health for better nutrient absorption and recovery. I've bought probiotic gummies on sale before and honestly, sometimes it's just overstock or a promo. Check the expiration date and CFU count - if those are solid, it's probably a steal. I got some at Target last month and they worked just fine for my post-workout routine.

Crossfit junkie here - I'm skeptical about sales too, but Costco's usually reliable. I'd look at the strain diversity listed on the label. If it's got a good mix (like lactobacillus and bifidobacterium) and the CFUs are high (aim for 5-10 billion), go for it. I snagged some at my local pharmacy once and they were legit, no digestive issues during my intense WODs. Maybe it's just a seasonal clearance?

Amateur chef chiming in - I use probiotic gummies to support my gut since I'm always experimenting with new recipes. Price doesn't always equal quality; sometimes stores discount to move inventory. I'd compare the ingredients to your usual brand - if they're similar (no artificial junk, good prebiotics like inulin), it's worth a try. I found some on sale at Target last year and they tasted great, no difference in my digestion while testing spicy dishes.

Night shift worker here - gut health is crucial for my weird sleep schedule. I've bought discounted gummies before and honestly, some were fine, others felt weaker. Check if it's a reputable brand; Costco often carries good ones. If the sale is huge, maybe grab one bottle to test first? I tried a pharmacy sale once and they helped with my late-night snacks, but YMMV. Don't stock up blindly though!
