THREAD: Found probiotic gummies on sale at Costco - too good to be true or legit deal?Started by GlowGigi

Hey everyone! So I was at Costco today grabbing diapers (as usual lol) and saw their store-brand probiotic gummies on sale for like half the price of the name-brand ones I usually get. Has anyone tried these? I'm wondering if the lower price means they're lower quality or if it's actually a steal. My toddler has been having some tummy issues lately and I want to help but also don't want to waste money on something that doesn't work. Thanks!

omg i feel you on the tummy stuff! i started taking probiotics for my digestion after my meditation teacher suggested it might help with gut-brain connection. i've tried a few brands from target and my local pharmacy - sometimes the cheaper ones work just as well tbh. check the CFU count and strains on the label, that's what matters most. the costco ones might have fewer strains or lower potency? but if it's similar, could be a great deal! peace and good gut health ✌️

Great question! As a fitness pro, I always check the supplement facts closely. Price doesn't always equal quality - sometimes you're just paying for marketing. Look at: 1) CFU count (should be in billions, at least 5-10B for adults), 2) Strain diversity (multiple strains are better), 3) Storage requirements (some need refrigeration), and 4) Sugar content (gummies can be high). Costco's Kirkland brand is generally reputable. If specs match your usual brand, it's probably a steal. I'd compare labels and maybe try a small pack first!

Thanks both! @GreenGreg567 that gut-brain tip is interesting, might help my sleep-deprived brain too haha. @WellnessWendy I checked the label and it has 5B CFU with 4 strains, which is actually similar to my usual brand that costs twice as much! The sugar is a bit higher but my kid won't mind that lol. Think I'll grab a bottle and see how it goes. Appreciate the advice!
