THREAD: Shilajit Gummies - Are we just eating candy now?Started by QuartzQuinn258

Hey everyone, I just saw these new Shilajit gummies at the store and I'm honestly shocked. The first ingredient is sugar! I get that supplements need to taste okay, but when did we start turning everything into candy? I'm trying to give my family healthy options, not more sugar disguised as vitamins. What's the point of taking something for health if it's packed with junk? Anyone else bothered by this trend?

I hear you Quinn, but as someone who works 60+ hour weeks, I'll take the convenience. I tried the pure resin form before and it was messy, tasted awful, and I kept forgetting to take it. With the gummies, I actually remember my daily dose because they're right with my morning coffee. Yes, there's some sugar, but it's a trade-off for consistency. For busy people like me, something that gets taken regularly is better than the 'pure' option that sits in the cabinet.

Ok but can we talk about how GOOD some of these gummies taste tho? I've tried 3 different shilajit gummy brands and the berry-flavored ones from Nature's Way are actually delicious. If it gets people to take their supplements who otherwise wouldn't, that's a win in my book. Plus, the sugar content is usually like 2-3g per serving - that's less than most protein bars. I'd rather enjoy my health routine than dread it!

As a runner, I need clean supplements. The gummy versions often have fillers and extra ingredients that can cause digestive issues during long runs. I stick with pure shilajit resin - yes it tastes earthy, but I mix it into my morning smoothie. The processing for gummies can also degrade some of the beneficial compounds. For athletic performance, purity matters more than convenience. Maybe try mixing the resin with honey if taste is an issue?
