THREAD: Shilajit Gummies - Worth the Hype or Just Another Health Fad?Started by MountainMike

Hey folks, I've been seeing these Shilajit gummies everywhere lately. As someone who relies on caffeine to get through my 12-hour shifts, I'm curious if these could give me a more natural energy boost without the jitters. Has anyone tried them? Do they actually work or is this just marketing fluff? I'm tired of crashing after my third espresso.

I bought a bottle last month because I saw them on TikTok. As a student, I'm always looking for affordable ways to stay healthy during exam season. They were $25 for 60 gummies, which seemed reasonable. Honestly? I didn't notice much difference in my energy levels, but my digestion did improve slightly. Not sure if it's worth repurchasing though - that's half my weekly grocery budget!

Ah, Shilajit! This takes me back to my blogging days in the early 2000s when we'd write about Ayurvedic remedies. The traditional resin form has been used for centuries in the Himalayas. I'm skeptical about the gummy version though - how much actual Shilajit can they really contain? Most supplements are underdosed. Has anyone checked the lab results or COA for these gummies?

I've been tracking my biometrics with my new Oura ring and Whoop strap, so I decided to test these gummies properly. Took them for 30 days while monitoring sleep, HRV, and recovery scores. Results: 12% improvement in sleep quality, 8% better recovery scores, but no significant change in energy levels. The convenience factor is great - much easier than dealing with the sticky resin. Pro tip: look for brands with fulvic acid content over 40% for best results.

Thanks for the data, HealthHacker41! That's actually pretty convincing. FloraFinn - maybe you got a weak batch? SolarSam makes a good point about dosage though. Which brand did you test, Hacker? I might give them a shot if I can find a good deal. Still cheaper than my daily Starbucks habit!

Update: I checked my bottle after SolarSam's comment, and you're right - only 100mg per gummy! No wonder I didn't feel much. Maybe I'll try a different brand if I can find student discounts. Mike, if you do try them, let us know if they help with your caffeine crashes. I'm curious if they work better for people with existing energy issues versus general wellness.
