Hey everyone, I opened my bottle of gummy vitamins today and noticed they look different. Some have white spots on them (like sugar crystals?), others are sticking together in clumps, and a few feel harder than usual. They're about 2 months old, stored in my kitchen cabinet. Are these still safe to consume? I don't want to waste them but also don't want to eat something spoiled. Thanks!

lol i feel you on not wanting waste! my caffeine gummies did this once when i left them in my hot car. they got all melty then hardened into weird shapes. i ate them anyway (desperate for that energy boost!) and was fine, just tasted a bit off. but if yours are 2 months old and in the kitchen... maybe toss? unless you're really attached to them like i am to my coffee beans 😅

I've photographed similar texture changes in natural products! The white spots are indeed sugar bloom - happens with temperature fluctuations. The hardening suggests moisture loss. While probably not dangerous, the nutrients might be compromised. I'd recommend storing your next bottle in a cool, dark place (not the kitchen!). Maybe take a photo before tossing?
