THREAD: Traveling with Vitamin C Gummies - Do They Melt? TSA Rules?Started by OP

Hey everyone! I'm planning a trip that involves flying, a road trip, and some hiking. I want to bring my vitamin C gummies with me to stay healthy on the go. But I'm worried they might melt in my luggage or bag. Also, what are the TSA rules for these? And any storage tips for keeping them fresh during travel? Thanks!

As a mom, I'm always skeptical about these things. I've had gummies melt in the car during summer road trips - they turned into a sticky mess! For planes, TSA allows vitamins in carry-ons, but I'd put them in a clear bag just in case. Keep them in your carry-on, not checked luggage, where temperatures can get extreme. And maybe bring a backup bottle just in case!

Oh man, melted gummies are the worst - they lose all their texture and flavor! I'm a foodie, so taste matters. For hiking, keep them in an insulated part of your bag, away from direct sun. On road trips, don't leave them in the glove compartment! As for TSA, I've never had issues with my gummy vitamins, but they might check if the bottle looks suspicious. Pro tip: some brands hold up better than others in heat.

Student budget here - can't afford to waste money on melted vitamins! I travel a lot for school trips. What works for me: I put my gummies in a small, hard container (reused mint tin) to prevent crushing and add a silica gel packet to absorb moisture. For TSA, I've never been stopped, but keep the original label if you can. Cheapest option: buy travel-sized bottles if available, or portion them out in baggies.
