THREAD: Goli ACV Gummies - Are we just eating candy disguised as supplements?Started by PlantPat821

Just saw these Goli Apple Cider Vinegar gummies at the store - 300 count, vegan, all that jazz. But seriously, 2g of sugar per serving? And they're basically candy! Since when did we need to make supplements taste like dessert? I get the convenience, but aren't we just fooling ourselves? Real ACV is bitter for a reason - it's medicine, not a treat. What's next, gummy antibiotics? This 'candy-fication' of health products is getting ridiculous. Anyone else bothered by this?

Hey PlantPat821 - I hear you, but as someone who's always on the go (gym, work, weekend hikes), I actually love these. Tried the liquid ACV for months and hated every second. Gag reflex city! These gummies? I actually remember to take them. Yeah there's some sugar, but it's minimal compared to what I'd get in a soda. And they're gelatin-free which works for my diet. Sometimes purity has to take a backseat to actually USING the supplement, right? If it's between perfect ACV that sits in my cupboard and these gummies I actually consume, I'll take the gummies.

Interesting debate! I'm new to supplements (just started meditating and trying to be more mindful about health). I bought these Goli gummies last week because the liquid ACV smelled too intense for my anxiety lol. The sugar thing worries me a bit though - @OasisOliver, do you think the benefits outweigh the sugar? And @PlantPat821, what would you recommend instead for ACV benefits without the 'candy' aspect? Sorry if these are basic questions - still learning!

OasisOliver - I get the convenience argument, I really do. But we're talking about a supplement market that's pushing sugar on people trying to be healthier. It's contradictory! QuantumQuincy715 - For real ACV, just dilute a tablespoon in water. Yes it tastes bad, but that's the point - it's not supposed to be enjoyable. Or try capsules if you can't handle liquid. At least those don't have added sweeteners. The gummy trend feels like we're treating adults like kids who need their medicine hidden in applesauce.

QuantumQuincy715 - For me personally, yes the benefits outweigh it. I'm active enough that 2g sugar doesn't move the needle, and I actually get the ACV in my system daily. PlantPat821 - Capsules give me heartburn though! And let's be real - most people won't stick with the liquid. If gummies get more people taking supplements who otherwise wouldn't, isn't that a net positive? Not everyone has your discipline. Sometimes 'good enough' is better than 'perfect but unused.'
