THREAD: Started Olly Sleep Gummies for insomnia, but now my skin is glowing??Started by OP

Hey everyone, so I've been struggling with falling asleep for months and finally picked up the Olly Extra Strength Sleep gummies (the blackberry ones) about 3 weeks ago. They've definitely helped me sleep better, which is awesome. But here's the weird thing: my skin has never looked better! I used to have some redness and occasional breakouts, but now it's just...clear and calm. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if it's the melatonin, the L-theanine, or the chamomile/lemon balm doing this, but I'm not complaining!

OMG YES!! This is such a common but underrated side effect! The L-theanine and adaptogens like chamomile and lemon balm are known to reduce cortisol (the stress hormone), and high cortisol can wreak havoc on your skin—think inflammation, breakouts, dullness. By improving sleep quality and lowering stress, you're giving your skin a chance to repair itself overnight. It's like a double win! I've been taking these for 6 months and my complexion has never been more radiant. Keep it up, OP!

Hmm, I'm skeptical. I tried these gummies for my teen who has trouble sleeping, and they didn't do much for her—no better sleep, definitely no skin miracles. Maybe it's just coincidence? Or are you doing something else differently, like drinking more water or changing your skincare routine? I'd be careful attributing it all to a gummy. Also, 5mg melatonin seems high for some people...make sure you're not overdoing it.

Interesting! I haven't tried these because I'm vegan and Olly isn't certified vegan (they use gelatin in some gummies, not sure about this one). But if it's helping your skin, it might be worth looking into vegan alternatives with similar ingredients. Stress reduction through adaptogens can definitely improve skin health—it's all connected. Maybe try a vegan sleep supplement with melatonin and L-theanine and see if you get the same effect? Just a thought!

Thanks for the replies! @UpliftUrsula that makes sense about cortisol—I've been less stressed overall too. @QuartzQuinn258 I haven't changed anything else, but maybe it's the combo of better sleep + less anxiety? And @GreenGreg281, I'll check the label for gelatin, but good point about vegan options. Appreciate the insights everyone!
