THREAD: My toddler thinks my stress gummies are candy - help!Started by QuartzQuinn454

Okay so I just got the OLLY Goodbye Stress gummies because, well, toddler life. I keep them on my nightstand. Yesterday my 3-year-old climbed up there, grabbed the bottle, and came running to me going 'Mommy candy! Share!' I had to pry them away while he had a full meltdown. Now he keeps pointing at them saying 'berry candy.' Anyone else have kids who think these are treats? How do you store yours safely?

LOL my husband did the same thing! He saw the bottle and was like 'Ooh, fancy gummies!' and almost popped one before I stopped him. Honestly though, I get it – they DO taste really good. The berry flavor is legit, and the texture is nice and chewy without being sticky. Maybe try putting them in a less obvious container? Or get a lock box if your kid's a climber.

This is exactly why I'm skeptical about gummy vitamins. They look and taste like candy, so of course kids get confused. My daughter refuses to eat them because she says they're 'too squishy' – she only likes gummy bears with a firmer chew. Are these really effective for stress anyway? I feel like the candy-like format undermines the seriousness of supplements.

TendonTom598 – a lock box might be the move, my kid is definitely a climber. And yeah, they do taste good, which is why I take them! QuartzQuinn258 – I hear you on the skepticism. For me, they help take the edge off when the bedtime routine goes off the rails. But you're right, the candy resemblance is a double-edged sword. Maybe OLLY should make them look less appealing to kids?

QuartzQuinn258 – I get the texture thing! My niece is the same – she's a texture snob lol. But for adults, I think the palatability is a plus. If it tastes good, you're more likely to take it consistently. Maybe try the meltaway versions if gummies aren't working? But back to storage – I've seen people use those high-up cabinets above the fridge. Out of sight, out of mind!
