THREAD: My toddler thinks my Olly beauty gummies are candy - help!Started by FitnessFanatic

Okay, I need to vent and maybe get some advice. My 4-year-old found my bottle of Olly Undeniable Beauty gummies and thought they were candy. He ate THREE before I caught him! They're grapefruit flavored and look just like little gummy bears. I'm not worried about the vitamins (pediatrician said he'll be fine), but now he keeps asking for 'mommy's special candy' and I can't get him to understand they're not for kids. Anyone else deal with this? I'm a busy professional and just want my supplements to stay mine!

Oh wow, I feel you! I'm a yoga instructor and keep my Olly gummies in my gym bag. My partner thought they were my 'post-yoga treat' and ate half the bottle once! We had a good laugh, but I had to start putting them in a clearly labeled container. Maybe try storing them up high or in a locked cabinet? The grapefruit flavor is pretty tempting tbh. On the bright side, at least they're natural ingredients!

As a minimalist, I keep all supplements in identical glass jars with simple labels. No colorful packaging to confuse anyone. But my issue is texture - my spouse refuses to try them because they're 'too chewy' compared to regular vitamins. Says they feel like eating sweetened rubber bands. I think they're fine, but now I'm the only one taking them. Maybe try explaining to your kid they're 'grown-up vitamins' not candy? Simplicity usually works.

Night shift worker here - I've had the opposite problem! My teen daughter thinks they're 'weird' and won't touch them because of the texture. Says they're not like regular gummies. Meanwhile I'm over here relying on them for my hair and nails since my schedule wrecks my diet. Maybe we need a PSA: 'These are supplements, not candy!' But seriously, keep them out of reach. I use a high shelf even though my kids are older.

Thanks everyone! Glad I'm not alone. @LemonLiam525 - labeling is a good idea. @EarthElias370 - I tried the 'grown-up vitamins' talk but he just said 'I'm a grown-up too!' Toddler logic, lol. @SupplementSteve97 - moving them to the top shelf tonight. And yeah, the texture IS different from candy gummies - maybe that's my backup plan if he gets into them again. 'See? They're not as good as real candy!'
